Planning approval will see the development of 53 dwellings on an underutilised brownfield site in Sandiacre.
Boyer operated as the project lead managing a variety of technical consultants in the preparation, submission and determination of this complex application.
The challenge here was to create a viable residential scheme that carefully addressed the contaminated land and heritage considerations that constrained the site. Boyer were able to present a case which resulted in the demolition of buildings within the conservation area, remediation of the site and the erection of contemporary dwellings that drew influence from certain carefully selected design features in the setting of the Grade II listed Springfield Mill.
A highly rewarding outcome following successful teamwork between Boyer, Wade Group and Erewash Borough Council that will lead to a well-planned place to live for future occupiers.
