The site was formerly in employment use, for the sale of cars and lorries and had a number of challenges including potential contamination and the proximity of the site to the adjacent industrial estate, the railway line to the south and the nearby Special Protection Area/RAMSAR site.
Boyer successfully argued that loss of the employment floorspace was acceptable, the site was appropriate for residential development and the redevelopment of the site would make a valuable contribution to the critical need for housing in Gravesham.We look forward to continuing our working relationship with BRT Properties and to work on more projects in Gravesham.
