The Fox Pub, Hackney
Client: Wellington Pub Company
LPA: London Borough of Hackney
The proposed development will make alterations to a locally listed building, and comprise modernising the pub at basement and ground floor levels, including improvements to the façade and construction of a two storey rear extension in connection with the conversion of the upper floors into 7 residential flats.
Hackney acknowledged the well-designed scheme by KLA Architects which would conserve the character of the locally listed building and the setting of the conservation area and noted that the development could potentially be shortlisted in the Hackney Design Awards in the coming years.
This follows other recent successes in Southwark, Lambeth and Newham for conversion of the upper floors of pubs to residential use for our client Wellington Pub Company. We look forward to continued success in unlocking the potential of these sites to deliver much needed new housing.
Boyer continues to work on a number of projects throughout the London Borough of Hackney and we look forward to a continued successful working relationship with Wellington Pub Company.
