Boyer has worked on a number of successful projects with Pocket Living over the last ten years. This include developments at Sail Street (LB Lambeth), Whiting Avenue (LB Barking and Dagenham) and Gainsford Road (LB Waltham Forest). 

Most recently, Boyer secured planning permission for the redevelopment of a site formerly occupied by a care home to create 90 one-bed flats. 100% affordable intermediate housing is enabled by virtue of the Pocket Living model, which provides consistent sized homes with generous shared amenity space. 

Boyer’s planning submission addressed a number of the Council’s concerns in relation to mix of units and the mono-tenure affordable housing. Through a detailed review of local housing delivery, Boyer were able to demonstrate that the development would make a significant and positive contribution to housing delivery in the Borough and that there was significant local need for the accommodation within the borough.
