Boyer successfully negotiated full planning permission for the conversion and extension of a former department store in Trowbridge town centre to 24 apartments and ground floor commercial use. Boyer were able to justify that the loss of town centre retail floorspace and introduction of residential use would enhance the vitality and viability of the town centre. Boyer also justified that the proposed alterations and extensions would not harm the character or appearance of the Conservation Area or harm the setting of nearby listed buildings. By application of the Vacant Building Credit, Boyer was also able to justify zero affordable housing.
